Research with drug using populations

September 2003-December 2007

Senior Research Officer, National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre, UNSW

Annie commenced working at the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre as a Senior Research Officer in 2003.  During that time she coordinated two major studies. The first study was a national research project investigating ecstasy and related drugs education practices with teachers and students in secondary schools in Australia. The second was an international research study looking into the efficacy of peer led interventions with ecstasy and related drug users.

Annie also assisted collecting data for studies into the cocaine and ecstasy markets in Australia. She also worked on a number of other studies with injecting drug users, pregnant women and their partners and people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.  She continues to work casually as a researcher at NDARC.
